SNOQUALMIE ,WA – Snoqualmie Valley Health is proud to announce that Dr. Neeta Jain has been honored with a Healthcare Heroes Award by the Puget Sound Business Journal (PSBJ).
The inaugural PBSJ Healthcare Heroes Awards luncheon took place July 13 at a downtown Seattle hotel. Dr. Jain was among 16 illustrious honorees, from a wide variety of backgrounds ranging from volunteers to clinical research physicians.
Dr. Jain has been caring for children for over 25 years and is proud to call Snoqualmie home. From birth to age 21, she helps kids and young adults grow into healthy people. Working with neurodiverse, developmentally challenged youth has become an area that she finds especially rewarding.
“I treat every child in my practice as one of my own. I’m often the first real advocate for a child. While I understand and appreciate the support of a patient’s caregiver, sometimes a kid just needs someone in their corner.”
Dr. Jain explained her most career defining moment, “While working in Indiana, I had a hospital employee who delivered a baby via emergency c-section. The baby had no heartbeat and was not breathing. I vividly remember the baby’s father looking at me and saying, ‘no matter what, make this baby live.’ I resuscitated the baby for almost 30 minutes, beyond the recommended time; I had given my word to this family. After half an hour, the baby’s heart started beating. Last year, that baby started kindergarten. When I got his picture with a huge smile and thank you card, it further cemented my passion and love for medicine.”
“We applaud all of the incredible caregivers honored by PSBJ’s Healthcare Heroes Awards,” said Renee Jensen, CEO of Snoqualmie Valley Health. “We’re particularly proud of Dr. Jain who we are privileged to work with and is extremely deserving of this honor.”
Dr. Neeta Jain is not new to awards, in January Dr. Jain was voted “Best Doctor” by the Snoqualmie Valley Record in their traditional Best of the Valley contest. Snoqualmie Valley Health was also voted “Best Place to Work.”
In November of 2022, Dr. Jain was recognized by The King County Medical Society at their Excellence in Medicine Awards Gala with a Community Impact Award for positively impacting healthcare in King County.
