General Surgery

Jesse Rappaport, MD

Dr. Jesse Rappaport is a board-certified general surgeon with specialized training in minimally invasive foregut surgery and advanced endoscopy. Originally from Chester, New Jersey, he earned his medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in general surgery at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio where he served as Chief Administrative Resident in his final year and was awarded multiple teaching awards. Following residency, he further advanced his training through a year-long fellowship in minimally invasive foregut surgery at the Esophageal Institute with Allegheny Health Network in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

He discovered his interest in surgery while pursuing an undergraduate degree in Fine Arts as a way to mix the precision and spatial nature of his work and desire to help those around him. He has a strong clinical interest in foregut pathology (including reflux disease and swallowing disorders) and abdominal hernias. He is committed to providing patient-centered surgical care that blends technical excellence with clear communication and compassionate support.

He chose Snoqualmie Valley Health after falling in love with the Pacific Northwest on a visit, and looks forward to serving a community that values both outdoor adventure and connection.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Rappaport enjoys art (especially figurative work), hiking, exploring national parks, and spending time with his wife, Caroline, and their dog, Grady. His beverage of choice is a cortado.
