Volunteers
Volunteers are essential at Snoqualmie Valley Hospital. As our Goodwill Ambassadors, our volunteers provide greatly needed assistance to patients, families and the community. Volunteers embody our mission to serve our guests, families and staff with respect, sensitivity and excellence of service.
All of our volunteers are screened the same as our employees with a background check and drug test. Please see the full list of our onboarding requirements below.

Student Opportunities
Clinical Internships/Externships
Snoqualmie Valley Health contracts with many colleges including Bellevue College, University of Washington and local technical colleges for our internship and externship program. We are part of the Department of Labor’s Community-Based Job Training Grant at the Health Science, Education & Wellness Institute at Bellevue College. This grant is designed to build the capacity of community colleges to train workers to develop skills required to succeed in high growth and high demand industries. We are focused on healthcare careers and provide externships to area community colleges for: Nursing, Hospital Unit Coordinators, and Laboratory Services.
For additional information, please contact: HR@SnoqualmieHospital.org.
All of our interns, externs and clinical students are screened the same as our employees with a background check and drug test.
External Job Shadows
An external job shadow is someone from outside our organization who spends time observing a Snoqualmie Valley Health staff member or clinician for educational purposes.
If you’re interested in shadowing, the first step is to let us know you’re interested. Shadowing experiences are always supervised, and you’ll remain with your host throughout the visit.
To begin, please apply through our Volunteer Program posting and note your interest in job shadowing. Once received, our Human Resources team will guide you through the onboarding process and ensure all necessary requirements are completed before your shadow experience.
