SNOQUALMIE, WA — Snoqualmie Valley Health will receive $3.138 million in state capital budget funding to support its $147 million ambulatory clinic expansion project, a major step forward in improving access to specialty and outpatient services for the community. The funding, secured through the state capital budget and signed into law by Governor Ferguson on May 22, 2025, will directly support essential infrastructure needs. Without this support, SVH would have been forced to reduce primary care capacity and other critical services to cover preconstruction costs.
The project received bipartisan support from the 5th and 12th legislative districts and was co-sponsored by Reps. Lisa Callan and Mike Steele. Sens. Bill Ramos and Keith Goehner also played key roles in securing the funding. Snoqualmie Valley Health CEO Renée K. Jensen testified before both the House and Senate in support of the project.
“We are incredibly grateful to our elected leaders and the many community partners who advocated for this project,” Jensen said. “With our community growing and many patients currently forced to travel out of the area or wait months for care, this expansion will allow us to bring more services closer to home and dramatically improve access to primary care.”
SVH also expressed appreciation to several local officials and organizations who supported the funding request, including Snoqualmie Mayor Katherine Ross, North Bend Mayor Mary Miller and King County Councilmember Sarah Perry.
Community and Clinical Impact
The ambulatory clinic expansion project includes the construction of an 85,000-square-foot building, expanding access to primary care, rehabilitation, outpatient specialty services and key support services. The project is expected to be completed by fall 2026 and bring more than 30 new healthcare providers and 225 staff members to the organization.
Funding Strategy
In addition to this state funding, Snoqualmie Valley Health is leveraging revenue bonds and pursuing philanthropic partnerships to support the expansion.
“Every dollar secured reduces the long-term cost of care for our community,” Jensen said. “This award is a major win for local healthcare and a testament to the power of collaboration.”
