SNOQUALMIE, WA – Snoqualmie Valley Health proudly celebrated Irene Mburu, RN, as a recent recipient of the DAISY Award® for Extraordinary Nurses, a recognition that highlights the exceptional care delivered every day by nurses at SVH.
At Snoqualmie Valley Health nursing is more than a role, it is a calling rooted in skill, compassion, vigilance and teamwork. Irene’s recognition reflects the standard of care patients can expect across SVH, which is attentive, responsive, and deeply patient-centered.

Irene was nominated by a grateful patient who shared the following experience:
“I have spent the last four years waiting for my hip replacement during which I underwent four surgeries, endured massive bouts of pain, and was limited in mobility. After surgery, I went to SVH for rehab and met Irene. She listened, showed true empathy, and did her absolute best to help me, minimize pain, and make me comfortable. Her response time and efforts to reach solutions quickly were impressive. All the while, her sense of humor helped keep me cheerful and positive. She is a model nurse and a wonderful human being.”
The DAISY Award is a national and international program that recognizes nurses for extraordinary clinical skill and compassionate care.
