Snoqualmie Valley Health Launches New Assault Treatment Services to Support Survivors

Katherine Thompson, PA-C, leads SVH’s new Assault Treatment Services—bringing compassionate, trauma-informed care to the heart of the Valley.

SNOQUALMIE, WA – Snoqualmie Valley Health (SVH) is proud to announce the launch of Snoqualmie Valley Assault Treatment Services (SVATS), a vital new program providing compassionate and comprehensive care for survivors of sexual assault and interpersonal violence.

This program offers forensic medical exams, evidence collection, crisis intervention, and connections to advocacy services, all delivered by trained medical professionals in a confidential and supportive environment. Survivors can access these services 24/7 through SVH’s Emergency Department, where providers are on call to deliver expert care.

“I’m honored to start this valuable program, which is rooted in the heart of the Valley,” said Katherine Thompson, PA-C, SVATS Program Manager. “Interpersonal violence is often underreported in rural communities due to social and logistical barriers, and we hope this new service line will not only offer help but also empower survivors to take the first step toward safety and healing.”

In addition to medical care, the SVATS team works closely with local advocacy organizations to provide emotional support, legal resources, and follow-up care. Patients do not need to report to law enforcement to receive medical services.
