SNOQUALMIE, WA – Snoqualmie Valley Health (SVH), King County Public Hospital District No. 4, extends its gratitude to Commissioner and Board President David Speikers as he concludes 19 years of dedicated service. With his departure, SVH is seeking interested community members to fill the vacant position on the Board of Commissioners.

“This is an exciting time to be part of Snoqualmie Valley Health,” said CEO Renée K. Jensen. “With the much-anticipated opening of The HUB and continued growth across SVH, there has never been a more meaningful opportunity to help shape the future of healthcare in our valley.”

Interested community members who reside within the hospital district and are registered voters are invited to submit a letter of interest and qualifications for consideration. Letters of interest will be accepted through April 20 at noon.

Following the submission period, a compiled packet of applicants will be provided to the Board of Commissioners for review ahead of a special meeting on April 23. Commissioners will meet in executive session from 5 to 6 p.m. to review and consider applicants prior to the regular monthly Board of Commissioners meeting.

During the regular Board of Commissioners meeting on April 23, the board will publicly announce nominees under consideration. Multiple nominations are permitted; however, a final selection will not occur at that time. Following the meeting, the list of nominees will be published for a minimum 15-day public notice period in accordance with state requirements. During this time, registered voters residing within the hospital district may submit additional nominations for the Board’s consideration.

Letters of interest and any questions regarding the appointment process may be submitted via email to info@snoqualmiehospital.org. In accordance with state law, the Board of Commissioners has 90 days to make an appointment to the vacant position.
